Updated: Sep 14, 2020

You’ve heard a thing or two about the trendy vinegar, apple cider (ACV). ACV has been touted for its antibiotic-like properties and ability to help prevent indigestion and aid in weight loss.

Adding Coconut oil to the mix  has a multitude of health benefits, and it’s figure-friendly too.  There’s no need to stress about adding it to your already health-conscious summer diet.

If your taste buds haven’t quite warmed up to the flavour yet, try making this salad dressing instead.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2/3 cup of coconut oil

  • 1/3 cup olive oil

  • 1/3 cup tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 1/2 teaspoon raw honey

  • 2 tbsp of lemon juice

  • 1 small garlic clove (diced into small pieces)

  • Black pepper to taste

  • 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt

METHOD

  1. Place coconut oil into a small metal bowl and add olive oil and apple cider vinegar.

  2. Whisk briskly; mixture will be thick.

  3. Add honey, lemon juice, garlic, salt and black pepper and whisk until well combined.

  4. Pou it into your glass bottle dressing and let it stand for a few hours before placing it into the fridge.

  5. When using it again you would notice that the dressing has harden. Place in a heated bowl of water and let it sit there until the mixture becomes liquid again.

  6. Enjoy with your favorite salad greens.
